CAMBER contributed to the 8th Conference on Sustainable Mobility, where Dr. Nikolaos Tsampieris Head of Transport for Logistics at ERTICO – ITS Europe organised and moderated the Special Interest Session “Efficient and safe mobility through CCAM advancements“.
The session explored how Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility is transforming the future of transportation towards safer, more efficient, sustainable and inclusive mobility systems. Discussions covered the full innovation chain: from foundational enabling technologies such as resilient connectivity architectures and Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) solutions, to the role of Artificial Intelligence in supporting sustainability, accessibility, safety and inclusiveness in autonomous mobility environments.
Dr. Nikolaos Tsampieris introduced CAMBER’s vision and objectives while Dr. Anna Antonakopoulou from I-SENSEGroup presented the Trikala pilot, showcasing how connected infrastructure, digital monitoring and data-driven road maintenance can improve cycling safety and optimise ADAS performance.
